When things become predicable it’s time for an adventure; so in 1986, after working as a social worker in Canada for 12 years, Terry packed some dive gear into a duffel bag, grabbed his camera and headed south lured by the beckoning winds of the Caribbean. For the next ten years Terry worked throughout the Caymans as a scuba diving instructor, bartender and cook. Four years later while working in the diving program at Southern Cross Club in Little Cayman, Terry decided to make a good thing even better and left the resort to go to massage school at The Scherer Institute of Natural Healing in Santa Fe, New Mexico. He graduated as a certified massage therapist in numerous modalities in 2001 and returned to the Caymans working as a massage therapist at the Westin Resort and Spa for the next three years. Terry finally wandered back to the Southern Cross Club Dive Resort in Little Cayman in 2004 and officially opened his own Island Moon Massage spa, where he has been very successful tending to the aches and pains of not only diving guests but locals as well with his massage treatment magic. Some say he specializes in round trips to Nirvana but he only smiles and says he’s caring for the well being of his friends. Come on down and find out for yourself for isn’t the ‘proof in the puddin’?

During the last five years he has even found time to write a book on some of his diving adventures. Tongue in cheek, partly truth, partly fiction but all the stories will give you an insider looks at the running of a dive operation and daily life found on any tiny island. His “Diary of a Dirt Bag Divemaster” will definitely make you laugh and shake your head in amusing wonder at all the unbelievable characters found inside.
